Birds

Birds can cause a great deal of damage and disease by their presence in our homes. They are noted to transmit histoplasmosis. This is a fungal disease humans can develop by inhaling spores that grow on bird droppings. Other diseases associated with bird excretions are cryptococcosis and psittacosis. Accidental contact with droppings can cause leptospirosis and salmonella. They also introduce a variety of parasites, including ticks, mites fleas, etc and the diseases associated with them.
