Skunks can be very destructive to property. They often cause problem due to finding dens in crawl space, garages, etc. They are notorious for raiding chicken coops. They are carriers and transmitters of a variety of diseases, some of which are very harmful to both people and our pets. They are noted to carry both rabies and distemper. They also introduce a variety of parasites, including ticks, mites, fleas, etc and the diseases associated with them.
